CROP FARMING

This is the farming mainly for the purpose of producing agricultural crops such as maize, Rice, plantains, cassava, yam, vegetables, fruits etc. You can own or lease large tracts of farmlands.
How To Start Crop Farming

1. Identify the type of crop: Do your research and decide the type of crops you want to plant. Understand the period of planting for the crops, the risk, the advantage and disadvantages.

2. Design and Plan Your Farm: What type of farm are you planning? Is it full term of per time job, what knowledge do you have of farming, the labor and the techniques.

3. Get Business Licenses and Permits: Register the company name. Get all the business Licenses and permits if necessary.

4. Planting: You can start planting. Add fertilizer at the appropriate time depending on the types of crops you are planting. Make sure the crops get the right quantity of water at the appropriate time. Remove all the weeds so that it will not hinder the growth of the crops.

5. Harvesting: When the crop its ready for harvesting. You can start harvesting

6. Market and sell your product: Awareness should have been done before planting the crops so as to know your potential customers and market and get them ready before the harvest. Immediately after harvesting it will be easier for you to sell.
