CELEBRITY NEWS;Former President Barack Obama names Lil Nas X, Bruce Springsteen and Lizzo as favorite music of 2019

He’s shared his favorite books , TV shows and films — now here’s what former President Barack Obama has in his headphones.
On Monday, the former POTUS kept up his annual tradition of announcing his personal pop culture picks by posting a lengthy round-up of his best-loved songs from 2019. The list follows the summer playlist he posted earlier this year, which included popular singles like Lizzo’s “Juice” and the “Old Town Road” remix from Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus.
Those songs, as well as previously recommended tracks from artists including Maggie Rogers, the Black Keys and Rema, made it to the best of 2019 list, which Obama described as diverse.
“From hip-hop to country to The Boss, here are my songs of the year,” he wrote. “If you’re looking for something to keep you company on a long drive or help you turn up a workout, I hope there’s a track or two in here that does the trick.”
While BeyoncĂ©’s “Mood 4 Eva” was a summer favorite, the pop star’s sister, Solange, has now made the cut thanks to her song “Binz.”
Female country super-group the Highwomen (Brandi Carlile, Natalie Hemby, Maren Morris and Amanda Shires) also got some love for “Redesigning Women,” while the National, Bruce Springsteen, Frank Ocean, Wale and Mavis Staples also had the former politician pushing play. Another favorite? The Spanish-language “Baila Baila Baila” by Ozuna with Daddy Yankee, J Balvin, Farruko and Anuel AA.
The list is getting some serious love from followers.
“Barack it’s some bangers on here,” read one comment.
